Rule 25: Spiking and Manning Guns

C. Non-Specialists.

. . . Each time an artillery battery is recrewed you make a new roster for the battery. The new morale level is one higher than the old one. The original gunners are spread evenly among the new crew members on the roster sheet. The counter that provided the recrewing SP is removed from play. When horse guns are recrewed the battery turns into an ordinary battery unless the new crew came from a horse artillery battery. The new crew count as casualties for the units that they came from.

D. Spiking.

. . . If during the course of the turn, you pass over enemy guns, you may spike them.
